Our Promise To You

You will be hunting free roaming bucks in their natural environment - (no fences). We promise a good hunt with an experienced guide - Good Hot Food, and plenty of it - A Dry, Warm Camp - Hot Showers, and Good ol' Hunting Camaraderie. We will furnish tree stands and blinds, and work with you in any way we can to make your hunt a memorable experience!

Bluff Country Outfitters: Commitment to Trophy-Class Whitetail Management

At Bluff Country Outfitters, we are deeply committed to cultivating and preserving a population of Trophy-Class Mature Whitetails. Our year-round efforts focus on providing hunters with the opportunity to pursue bucks aged 4.5 years and older — ideally 5.5 to 6.5 years — that meet the highest standards of fair-chase hunting.

We prioritize education and transparency by sharing extensive trail camera footage and age-class examples to help hunters make informed decisions in the field. While we understand that mistakes can occur, we must now take firmer steps to protect the integrity of our herd and the future of our operation.

Effective immediately:
  - Any buck harvested scoring under 140 inches will result in a $2,000 penalty.
  - On the final day of the hunt, this penalty increases to $3,000.
  - The only exception is a pre-approved cull buck, which must be cleared by our team prior to harvest.

This policy is not intended to discourage participation but to reinforce our long-term vision. Unfortunately, some hunters have expressed a willingness to pay the fine and harvest immature bucks regardless — particularly on the final day. This undermines our conservation goals and diminishes the experience for future clients.

As a free-range operation, we rely solely on the natural deer population. We do not operate behind high fences, and every young buck taken prematurely represents a setback for our entire community — including our neighboring landowners who share our commitment to ethical hunting practices.

There are many places where hunters can pursue 120–140 inch bucks. Bluff Country Outfitters is for those who seek something greater — the chance to harvest a true giant.
